Raven Lacerte, Co-Founder
Raven Lacerte is a proud member of the Lake Babine First Nation in North-Central BC and belongs to the Bear Clan. She is the Co-Founder and National Ambassador for the Campaign.
Since founding the campaign with her father in 2011, Raven travels across Canada to share the medicine of the campaign in presentations, media engagements, and participating on panels.
She is also the lead for Moose Hide Campaign’s Impact Measurement, and is passionate about inviting Indigenous Communities, Governments, and Organizations to join in the movement. She sits on the Minister’s Advisory Council for Indigenous Women (MACIW) for the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation (MIRR).
Raven is also a proud mother of daughters Cedar Sus and Chas Yaz, and wife to Dominic Paul, a member of the Tsartlip Nation. Raven and her family gratefully live on the terrritories of the Lekwungen Peoples, the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations.
Dominic Paul, National Ambassador
Dominic Paul’s traditional name is Sel Sel Tan. He is from the W̱SÁNEĆ territory of Vancouver Island, where his people speak the SENĆOŦEN language. Paul now lives in downtown Victoria with his wife, Raven Lacerte, the co-founder of the Moose Hide Campaign, and their two daughters, Cedar and Chas.
He has been involved with the campaign since 2013, managing pin production and distribution. As National Ambassador, he speaks publicly for the campaign, spreading awareness about ending gender-based violence in Canada.

Moose Hide Campaign Ambassadors are available to talk about the journey of supporting a country rooted in reconciliation and safe for every woman, child, and person along the gender-continuum. Sharing this message of connection, compassion, and courage with your organization, group, team, or community is an honour.
Ambassadors connect for presentations of up to 1 hour. It is important to us that every Canadian have the opportunity to hear our invitation to join us on a healing journey to end gender-based violence. For this reason, we do not have a mandatory speaking fee.
For those who are able and interested in offering a gift of reciprocity, we invite you to consider the following honorarium amounts. Please note that we are deeply grateful for all gifts shared and welcome all invitations, regardless of capacity to donate.
- Corporate/For-profit businesses: $1000 – $5000
- Indigenous Partners: $250 – $1000
- Non-Profit Groups: $250 – $1000
- Post-Secondary Groups: $250 – $1000
